Allium

Allium is the fresh new addition to the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.  Executive Chef Kevin Hickey creates a whimsical menu that provides a creative twist to classic comfort foods, all the while staying true to his farm-to-table philosophy.  The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and is perfect for date night or after work cocktails.  The highlight of my evening was the Miso Butterscotch Milkshake!  A must order!  Reservations can be made via Opentable or on the Allium website.

Allium has an amazing cocktail menu and also features select craft beers.
Purple Haze
Poured at the table.

Absolut Pear, Hibiscus, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, and Lychee Milk.  Perfect for those who love sweet cocktails.
Evan Williams 1973 on the rocks.  A slow-melting spherical ice cube with your scotch prevents an over diluted drink.
Allium's signature Cheese Lavosh.  Have fun breaking off your appetizer among a group of friends.
Light, airy, and crunchy with bold, cheesy flavors.
Wagyu short rib slider with white cheddar and horseradish aioli.
Unbelievably scrumptious.  I was surprised at how thick the burger patty was for a mini slider.  Melt-in-your-mouth delish.
Wagyu skirt steak with cheese and herb fries.  Extremely tender and juicy!

Scallop with green garlic risotto.  The menu speaks the truth when it says you get A scallop.  Definitely a perfectly seared scallop with an amazingly rich and creamy risotto.
All natural beef burger with Dunbarton blue cheddar, sunny side up fried egg, bacon fried onions, and a secret sauce.
FANTASTIC!  Oh my Lordy... this burger is AMAZING!  Juicy and perfectly cooked!  I found myself trying to finish this burger even though I was completely stuffed!
A burger is not complete without its fries.
"Ratatouille" grits.   A French concept served Southern-style over creamy grits.
Chicago style hot dog.
The hot dog comes plain and you garnish as desired with the accompanied toppings.
No ketchup should touch a Chicago dog.
Sweets and Stinkies.  How adorable!
MISO BUTTERSCOTCH MILKSHAKE.  You MUST try this!
Rich, decadent and very unique.  The miso butterscotch pairing is a match made in confectionary heaven.  SO good!!
Lemon Basil Marshmallows.
I absolutely adore homemade marshmallows and I loved the lemon basil pairing.  However, the texture was a bit too dense for me.  I would recommend the milkshake instead!

Watermelon Icee.
Sweet and refreshing... and oh so pretty!

Happy eating.
