Sweet Eats: Magnolia Bakery

Magnolia Bakery first opened in New York City and finally arrived in Chicago in 2011.  This place is absolute perfection!  Magnolia Bakery prides itself in old fashioned, classic desserts with flavors so delectably delicious that your knees will go weak after one bite.  Although this bakery is famed for their cupcakes, I believe their banana pudding is to-die-for!  If you are in the Loop, swing by Block 37 during your mid-afternoon crash for a quick picker-upper.

How adorable is this storefront window?
The baking station is walled off by plexiglass so customers can see the bakers at work.
Sprinkles for sale.
Look at these perfectly coiffed cupcakes!

Classic American desserts that bring back childhood memories.
  Martinelli's!  My favorite apple juice!
Whole cakes are also available for purchase.
The wonderful banana cream pie.  I've ordered this several times for parties and it was always a hit!

A seating area is also available in the bakery.
Banana pudding! In my opinion, this is the best dessert Magnolia Bakery has to offer.
Rich, creamy, and filled with bananas and Nilla wafers.  This dessert is best described as a foodgasm.
I die.

Dear Magnolia Bakery, hire me.
Happy eating.

P.S. Here's a picture of my first bite into a Magnolia Bakery cupcake during my 2010 visit to NYC. Pure bliss.
