Sprout

Sprout is a French-American bistro located in Lincoln Park with Top Chef runner-up, Dale Levitski and Chef de Cuisine, Jeffrey Sills, running the show.  Sprout offers playful, yet sophisticated dishes that will keep your taste buds dancing.  The restaurant's seasonal menu showcases unique flavor combinations that sound extremely odd but somehow magically blend perfectly together.  The food presentation is also stunning.  Service is attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly.  Reservations can be made via Opentable.

The dining area was modern, elegant, and clean.  I loved the open space and large windows that filled the room with natural daylight.

FANTASTIC cocktails!  Watermelon: Prosecco, lemon, celery bitters, and chervil.
Pineapple: anejo tequila, lemon, bitters, and black salt.

Berry.
Our menu.
First course.

Scallop, buddha's hand, scotch bonnet, avocado, and passion fruit.
Second course.
Salmon, cauliflower, escarole, farro, and meyer lemon.

Perfectly cooked!
Second course.
Rabbit, artichoke, basil, cocoa, and blueberry.  Rich and hearty!  One of the favorites of the evening.
Second course.
Ricotta, kumquat, kale, truffle, and garlic.
I was obsessed!  The ravioli was filled with a creamy ricotta cheese.  I could eat an entire bowl of this ravioli.
Surprise course.
Celery, golden raisin, apple.
A refreshing palate cleanser that makes me wish celery ice cream was sold in local grocery stores.
Third course.  Chocolate, coffee, white pepper.
Sinfully rich, chocolatey, and delicious!  I LOVED this dessert!
Third course.

Yum.  A perfect rhubarb dessert.
There is never a dull moment when dining with three chopsticks and a fork.  Thank you for another lovely evening ladies.

Happy eating.

xoxo
