Spiked Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate

Reward yourself with this Spiked Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate on Halloween for your taxing efforts of passing out handfuls of candy.  Enjoy this quick and easy recipe for a decadent treat.  Recipe courtesy of blogger, Katerina, writer of Diethood.   Recipe has been adapted slightly from the original.
Ingredients
2 cups milk
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons Libby's Pumpkin Pie Mix
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
2 shots of whisky
Marshmallows

Instructions
Place all ingredients, except for the whiskey, in a medium-sized saucepan and cook over low heat.  Stirring frequently, cook for 5 minutes, or until chocolate is melted and the liquid has thickened.
Remove from heat and add whiskey. Pour into two coffee glasses and top with marshmallows.
Add milk to saucepan.
Add white chocolate chips.  I prefer to use Ghiradelli since they melt quite nicely.
I chose Libby's Pumpkin Pie mix since all the pumpkin pie spices are already included.
Add pumpkin puree to milk.
Add cornstarch.
Add vanilla.
Mix until chocolate chips melt.
Add your desired amount of whiskey.  I chose Tullamore Dew since it has a sweeter, honey-like flavor that would compliment this dessert drink.
To make the glass look extra fancy, I added caramel syrup to a shallow dish.
Add black and white sprinkles to a separate shallow dish.
Flip the glass or mug upside-down and dip the rim of the glass into the caramel.
Repeat and dip the glass into sprinkles until the rim is well coated with sprinkles.
Ta da!
Pour your Spiked Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate into the glass.
Top it off with some marshmallows.
I used some fancy pants, handcrafted marshmallows from Wondermade that were pumpkin pie flavored.  They also have boozy marshmallows to compliment any spiked hot drink!  Look out for a future product review, coming soon

Enjoy.

Happy Halloween.

xoxo
Grace
