Chez Moi (Lincoln Park)

Chez Moi is a newly established French restaurant owned by Chef Dominique Tougne located in Lincoln Park.  Shai Chung from Drunk On Shoes recommended that we dine at Chez Moi and she could not have picked a better place!  Whimsical chandeliers grace the dining room providing a warmly lit, intimate atmosphere.  The decor of Chez Moi is meticulously detailed from the dinnerware to how the napkins are folded.  Make your reservations while you can because I anticipate Chez Moi becoming extremely popular!

4 1/2 stars on Yelp
The corners of the tables are singed with the restaurant's name.
Chef Dominique told Shai that the dinner linens are folded in the exact same way his late father folded his dinner linen after a meal.  How adorably thoughtful!
Petits poivrons Basque. Mini pepper sauteed and marinated in extra virgin olive oil and garlic.
This was a pour l'apertif, something to accompany the bread on the table while you wait for your appetizer or dinner.
Chez Moi has a fantastic wine selection.
Shai digging into the salad.
Frisée et sa poire rôtie au Roquefort, pignons et raisins, viniagrette au verjus.  Roasted pear salad with Roquefort pine nuts & grapes, verjus viniagrette
This salad was delicious!!!  The creamy Roquefort cheese perfectly compliments the roasted pear.
Délicieux! One of the best french onion soups I have ever tasted!
Boasts with flavor and cheesy goodness!  Definitely order this!
Moules marinieres, pommes frites a la graisse de canard.  Mussel marinieres.
The broth was buttery and delish!  I was dipping both the bread and fries to savor the wonderful broth!
Duck fat fries accompany the mussels.
Saint-Jacques poellées sur polenta crèmeuse, caramel d’épices aux baies roses.  Sauteed Maine scallops, creamy polenta and
spiced honey reduction
Perfectly seared scallops with a delightful sweet sauce made this one of my favorite dishes of the evening.
Gateau Breton Salidou, et glace au fromage blanc.  Brittany cake with salty caramel sauce, and fromage blanc ice cream.  Absolutely divine!!!
I was obsessed with their dinnerware!  So adorably chic!
Big thanks to the beautiful Shai for a wonderful evening.  Don't forget to visit her blog at drunkonshoes.com!

Happy eating.
