Slurping Turtle Food Review

Slurping Turtle is a fun and casual dining experience in Chicago that provides flavorful ramen noodles and succulent, bincho grilled items.  Reservations are not accepted so be prepared to wait for a table.  However, the hostess can take your number and call you when your table is ready.  Venture out to a local bar nearby and ease into dinner with a libation while you wait.

Duck fat fried chicken.  I also recommend the pork belly, chicken thighs, and grilled mochi [not pictured] off the bincho grill.  Heaven in your mouth.
The sake flights were fabulous and tasted very unique and sophisticated.  The sake cups are deeper than they appear in the photo so you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Apologies for the blurry photo.  The ramen bowls were enormous and the broth was spectacular.  Pictured are the Shoyu noodles and Tan Tan Men noodles.  Note: the Tan Tan Men is not spicy and is best described as mild, but still delicious.  So if you're like me and prefer an exorbitant amount of heat, you should ask your server to make this dish extra extra spicy.

Did you know Chef Takashi was a guest judge on this season's Top Chef Texas?  If you see him at Slurping Turtle or Takashi, be sure to say hello.
